HISTORY

CMP has been training and developing inmate workers for over 10 years. Our program has been remarkable, achieving less than 5% recidivism among our participants. We are eager to expand with Opportunity for A Better Life, continuing to make an impact on the general population and providing opportunities to those who seek them.
VISION

To create Opportunity Centers in Corrections facilities across the country that provide programming and training as well as job placement assistance. These facilities will provide comprehensive support services and a nurturing environment for our participants.
MEET THE VOLUNTEERS
Scott Balsiger
I have spent over 13 years providing job training and post-release support for incarcerated individuals, collaborating with the Arizona Department of Corrections, the Tennessee Department of Corrections, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. One of my greatest achievements is that every individual who has continued to work with us after their release has not returned to prison, resulting in a remarkable recidivism rate of under 5%. To expand our successful program and reach a larger prison population, I helped establish the Opportunity for a Better Life.

Having spent 10 years incarcerated I understand how hard it is to come back into society and live a good life. I want to use my experiences to help other men and women live the lives we have always been meant to have. Education, Employment, Communication, Housing, Community, Faith and Dedication is what we need. OFBL has given me these resources and now I want to pay it forward.

I am Armando Garcia, the previous Sales Manager at Community Marketing Partnership. The program offered by OFBL is pivotal in transforming lives. The comprehensive support provided by OFBL, including essential life skills training and post-release employment opportunities, greatly influences many journeys, of all walks of life.
This is why I am deeply committed to serving on the board. Facilitating successful reintegration not only brings personal fulfillment but also plays a crucial role in reducing recidivism rates.
